37th Tour de Madison
Since 1988, road cyclists in Madison and the surrounding counties have gathered in May for a tour of Madison County. Ride through the rolling hills and country side of historic Madison County. There is a friendly 20 mile route and 45 mile and 65 mile option. Stay afterwards and enjoy Graves Mountain Lodge catered picnic and fabulous music. This is a fully supported event sponsored by the Madison County Parks and Recreation Authority. Don’t miss out riding in one of Virginia’s most beautiful rural countryside’s.
Metric Century – A 65-mile ride with 3750 feet of climbing. Rest stops will be provided at Good Hope Baptist Church (at 7 and 18 miles), and at Criglersville School (at 41 and 54 miles). There is a “rolling start” and you can leave as soon as they check-in, from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM.
Intermediate Route – This is a beautiful and challenging 45-mile route with just under 2800 feet of climbing. The first 27 miles shares the metric century route. It will feature rest stops at Good Hope Church (at 7 & 18 miles) and Madison Church of the Brethren (at 35 miles).
Family Ride – the family ride back to the Criglersville, Banco, Syria area this year. This route will be supported from 10am-1pm. These cyclists will check-in at the old Criglersville School.
