The Appalachian Journey
The Appalachian Journey is a 3 distance cycling event (35, 65, and 110 miles), held in Floyd County, VA. This is a mixed-surface cycling event and competition. A partner format and a fully supported ride will yield an incredible adventure for riders of any skill level. No matter if you want full throttle gravel racing or just a great day with new friends – professional timing means riders can race if they choose, or simply lay back and enjoy the fresh air and gravel roads. The Journey is the destination!
The race HQ for the weekend will be Chantilly Farm and the Floyd Family Campground. Free camping is available with fresh water, bathrooms, showers and all the fixing of a great weekend (RV Hookups available). There are many Air BNB or traditional lodging options very close to the venue as well. We will host packet pickup Friday night April 1st at the world famous Floyd County Jamboree where you’ll be treated to a special Bluegrass experience.
