Shenandoah Speedway Points Race Criterium
Shenandoah Valley Points Race Criterium is a USA Cycling sanctioned event and is held the day after the Shenandoah Time Trial, here’s another opportunity for a “racecation” in Page County, presented by Page Valley Cycling, WWVC Racing, Bike Rack Racing, and District Taco in cooperation with Shenandoah Speedway!
To make it more interesting, this event is going to be modified points race, with the top three in every 5th lap receiving 3, 2, and 1 point towards the overall standings, with double points in the last lap (6, 4, and 2) and one lap mid-race, as determined by the officials. The event will also be interspersed with prime laps for beer and/or other prizes. Points will not be awarded for the Juniors 10-12 or Juniors 13-14 fields.
Shenandoah Speedway is an oval-shaped asphalt 3/8 mile track with compound banking of 12, 10, 8, and 6 degrees in turns 60 feet wide, and straights with 6 degrees of banking.
Registration: Opens at 7:15AM and closes 15 minutes prior to the start of each race. Race day registration is available for open field with an additional $6 fee. Register for a second race at a cost of only $5. Riders under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian’s signature.
