Rockstar Pavé Adventure

This is a fully-supported 165 mile pavé ride from Harrisonburg to Roanoke. What is Pavé you ask? It’s mixed surface, road and gravel. What bike should you bring? A road bike with 28c Gravel Kings would be perfect if you are a confident rider. Otherwise a gravel bike with 33-40 tires would be acceptable too. Note that you have to cover over 80 miles each day.

The course starts at Downshift Bikes and departs at 6:00 am. Then travels approximately 85 miles the first day and 80 miles the second day with tent camping at Douthat State Park Saturday night.

What is provided:  A spaghetti dinner at Douthat on Saturday night, light snacks, water, camp site, gear transportation and sag support. No transportation will be provided back to Roanoke once the ride starts. If you cannot complete the route for whatever reason, the only option will be to rest up with the sag vehicle until Sunday afternoon when it returns to Roanoke.
