Jefferson Cup Road Race (Sat) & Cavalier Criterium (Sun)

USA Cycling Permit #10675

The UVA Cycling Club and Charlottesville Racing Club are proud to announce the Jefferson Cup Weekend which will take place on April 19 – 20th. On Saturday from 8 AM to 4 PM, the Jefferson Cup Road Race will take place on the iconic circuit just outside of Charlottesville. On Sunday from 9 AM to 5PM, the Cavalier Criterium will take place on an exciting course next to Scott Stadium.

The traditional Jefferson Cup road course, a 10 mile clockwise circuit takes racers on one of the most scenic courses imaginable. The country roads roll through glorious estates, breathtaking vineyards, and the legendary Blenheim Hill climb. Bring your picnic blanket and family—it’s going to be a party. The start/finish will both be at the top of the Blenheim Hill – be ready for exciting, leg burning finishes!

The UVA Cycling Club’s Cavalier Crit will take place next to Scott Stadium. Both fast and technical, this ¾ of a mile loop should make for some awesome racing. The course winds through the parking lots surrounding Scott Stadium and features a short, punchy 15-second climb each lap.

The Mid-Atlantic’s most iconic USA Cycling road race—Jefferson Cup has been a proving ground for the nation’s top cyclists and a launching point for rising stars since 1991. Come join in this rich tradition!
