The 1st Annual Happy Valley Grit Gravel Race, taking place amidst the breathtaking natural beauty of Carvins Cove in Roanoke, Virginia. This event promises an unforgettable day of cycling and camaraderie for riders of all skill levels and a chance to explore the scenic splendor of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains.

Choose Your Challenge:

  • 15-Mile Route: A meandering journey with 720 feet of elevation gain. Perfect for those looking for an exciting, but manageable challenge. This route is an out and back on Happy Valley Fire Road.
  • 25-Mile Route: For the fearless and seasoned cyclists, the 25-mile course offers an grand adventure with 2,690 feet of elevation gain, taking you to new heights and pushing your limits. This route follows the 15 mile route out then ventures up Brushy Mountain Fire Road to the top of the Buck trail and back.
  • 30 Mile Route: New this year, the route follows the 25 miler route but continues past the last aid station at the Buck Trail to turnaround at the Hinchee Trail before continuing back to the start/finish line.  This route includes 3,305 ft of elevation gain.
