With an eye towards physical distance and a heart for the community – The Appalachian Journey’s take on COVID-conscious cycling events:
Riders will be provided a GPX file and basic course markings to follow the course at their own pace, in group size of their choosing, and be rewarded with a hot meal, cold creek, and southern hospitality Mountaineer style. Courses will be challenging (around 100ft per mile for the 60) with a substantial long climb and vista reward for the 35 and 60 mile rides. All riders will get a treat in National Forest gravel, old rail grades, rural farm roads, and the optional river crossing within a half mile from the finish.
Distances: 20, 35, and 60 miles
Lodging: Wilderness Adventure will make options available for solos or groups and can accommodate any need you’ve got. Distance and cleanliness are top priorities
Post Ride meal: provided! Outdoor seating, vegetarian option.
Limits: 200 riders, wave starts of up to 20 riders self-seeded at the start.
