34thAnnual Wilderness Road Ride Gran Fondo

The Wilderness Road Ride is a scenic and historical adventure that follows part of Daniel Boone’s Wilderness Road. This is a recreational ride for all cycling levels to enjoy, with something for everyone – 5 routes to choose from ranging from a 26 mile relaxed journey for novices, to a 100 mile century challenge for the fittest cyclist. This is a must ride for cyclists of all ages and athletic abilities. The ride is capped at 300.

All routes will start and finish at Bisset Park, shelter #2. Non-riders can enjoy Bisset Park, the New River, and downtown Radford, while their families and friends are out riding. Fully supported aid stations will be positioned at regular intervals along the course and the start/finish location.

Group Start Times (optional) – This year we are offering group start times for those interested in joining others. Riders will gather in front of Shelter #2 Bisset Park at the “starting line” at a designated time: 7:00, 7:10, 7:20, 7:30, 7:40 and 8:00am. Those who sign up for the century and 80 miler must leave no later than 7:30.

This year we are adding an e-bike option for the 26 mile route that will start at 7:30.

All pre-registered riders are guaranteed a technical t-shirt and other goodies.

All proceeds will benefit FCA Endurance ministries and missions projects in southwest Virginia. A portion will be used to scholarship and send our regions student athletes to FCA’s Summer Camps.
