The Highlands Hop – Jack 2 Bacova & Back

The Highlands Gravel Hopis a mountain-to-mountain gravel challenge linking two of the Alleghany Highlands’ best watering holes – Jack Mason’s Tavern in Clifton Forge and Bacova Brewery in Warm Springs.

Riders will climb out of Clifton Forge, traverse the rugged ridge of Warm Springs Mountain, and descend to Bacova for mid-ride refreshment (and relay handoffs). Those with legs – and lungs – to spare can turn around for the full out-and-back challenge, finishing where it all began at Jack Mason’s Tavern.

Routes feature a mix of paved rollouts, chunky gravel climbs, ridge rollers, and sweeping descents – all framed by the Alleghany Highlands’ signature fall colors and small-town hospitality.
