Stokesville Gravel – Gaps & Hollows 130K

This amazing 130 K / 80 Mile route rolls out gently into the Shenandoah Valley along scenic back roads before crossing a few historic Civil War bi-ways in Churchville where it continues towards Swope, Virginia. Just past Swope it climbs and descends Troxell Gap and then twists around a few smaller mountains before coming to the centerpiece of the ride – Hite Hollow. The climb up Hite Hollow onto Great North Mountain is certainly solid. The soul crushing switchbacks will afford you the view of someone 1 minute or more ahead. The rewards of the descent are well worth it as it arc’s in and out of the Hollows for what will seem like forever.

Two support stations will feature packaged snacks and fluids to get you the rest of the way around the route as well as a pump, tubes and tires to get you back rolling again.
