Long & Short of It – XC MTB Race

Start your Summer weekend riding some of the newest trails in Northern Virginia at James S. Long Park in Haymarket, VA. Mid-Atlantic Off-Road Enthusiasts (MORE) volunteers have just finished adding a 1.5 mile stretch of trails to James S. Long Park giving it a great little 4-mile loop and we couldn’t think of a better way to start a Summer weekend than with a big group ride.

There will be 2 races on a Friday, evening (June 16th) to get your Summer weekend started. We’ll have a 1-lap race and a 2-hour Enduro race where riders try to get in as many laps as they can/want within a 2-hour time limit.

1 Lap / (4.25 miles)

-The Long of IT
2-hour ‘Enduro’
As many Laps as You Can Fit in 2 hours

The MORE trail liaisons for James Long Park have plans to add 2 more miles of trails and plan to add some additional bike features in the near future which will require some fundraising so come and have fun racing while helping to raise money for future improvements to the trails.
