Kiss the Gravel

– EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED – 

A USA Cycling sanctioned event/permit #9672 – Kiss the Gravel. Course will be marked with tape and signs on the gravel sections and paint on the paved sections. Gravel, cross and mountain bikes are allowed. Course is not suitable for road bikes. There are two ride options – 50 and 25 miles.

Poker Ride: Win $200
We are bringing back an old tradition from years ago the Poker Ride. The Bristol Poker Ride ran for a number of years in Bristol as a road event. At the start, at rest stops, and at the finish, you will receive a card. The rider with the best hand at the end of the day will win $200. Short and long route riders will be combined so that everyone has a chance to win the prize. Persons not wishing to participate don’t have to take cards at any point during the ride and are still eligible for the prizes listed above.

The start /finish has been moved to the Mendota, VA trail head across the street from “The Store” (please don’t park in their lot). The new start finish area is safer and has ample parking. It also gives us room for post event festivities. Don’t block or park in the Mendota Baptist Church lot.
