Celebrate Trails Day with the Capital Trail

Hosted each year on the fourth Saturday of April, Celebrate Trails Day was launched in 2013 by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy as a nationwide spring celebration of America’s incredible trails and trail systems. It’s a day to get outside, explore, and show some love to the places that connect our communities.

Here’s how we’re celebrating on the Virginia Capital Trail  with a group ride to the Dorey Park Farmers Market. You’ll roll out from Richbrau Brewing at 9:30 AM for a group ride with a return around 12:00 PM. There is a rest stop at Dorey Park from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM for refreshments, treats, and some fun giveaways.
