Conquer the Mountain Gravel Grinder & MTB Race

The 32 Mile Conquer the Mountain Gravel Grinder is a hilly course offering scenic views of the local mountains, foothills, and fall foliage while avoiding significant climbing associated with the more difficult 41 Mile Course. This year, we will not summit North Mountain  but rather traverse sections of the mountain side. The course is designed to offer a fantastic experience in a less intense fashion than our past race versions. Expect climbing to be ~ 2,700′ which is about half of the elevation gain of the 41 mile course.

The 41 Mile Conquer the Mountain Gravel Grinder is a mountainous course comprised of stunning views with two mountain summits as you traverse between beautiful Shenandoah County Virginia and West Virginia. This course offers significant climbing, and multiple  scenic views of the local mountains, foothills, and fall foliage. This will challenge intermediate to advanced riders with ~5,400′ of elevation gain/drop.

The 50K Conquer the Mountain, Mountain Bike Race offers some of the best views in the country during the fall foliage parade of colors.  Mother Nature has blessed us with an awesome location that lets you view the beautiful colors of fall in both Virginia and West Virginia on this course.  This event will challenge intermediate and advanced riders as they conquer the mountains around Wolf Gap Winery.  Riders will run a marked course which will consist of paved roads, gravel roads and mountain trails.  This course will not have any major stream crossings.  All racers should be able to keep their feet dry during the race.  The race route will be marked with directional arrows and cones for turns on the course. No navigational skills needed. All racers will start & finish the event at Wolf Gap Vinyard & Winery.  Each racer will get a shirt, medal, aid station stops a, & a post-race vineyard social which includes a meal, glass of wine, and live music!  A generous cut-off time.
