Bluefield Trails & Ales Short Track Mountain Bike Challenge

The Town of Bluefield Parks and Recreation is proud to present Bluefield Trails & Ales Short Track Mountain Bike Challenge held ( USA Cycling Permit #2021-3215) in conjunction with Oktoberfest in the Park on September 25th, 2021.

The first 100 participants to preregister for the Bicycle Short Track will receive an event t-shirt.  Bicycle Short Track participants will receive a $10 discount on the Oktoberfest in the Park admission tickets.  Enjoy the authentic spirit of Oktoberfest with craft and German beer, food, and music. Mountain Bike Short Track: We recommend a minimum of a 32mm tire for the short track event. The course is relatively flat with pavement, gravel, and dirt. The start and finish will be at the trail cabin in City Park.

USA Cycling: The Bicycle Short Track is a USA Cycling permitted event. Racers competing in the event must be licensed by USA Cycling. Available at registration, $10 one-day USA Cycling license.  Experts must hold an annual USA Cycling license.  Approved helmets required when riding/racing on the bike.

Parking: Because the City Park is closed for Oktoberfest, participants and spectators will need to park outside the park and ride/walk to the trail cabin.
