Blue Wheel Bicycles WTF Ride
The 13th Wilderness, Tertiary and Fireroad (WTF) cycling event! Blue Wheel Bicycle’s is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year at the WTF. Choose between 25, 50 and 75 mile ride.
The WTF is a celebration of riding the beautiful back roads of Central Virginia. There will be gravel, a lot of climbing (approximately 100 feet per mile), a lot of descending (and potentially washboard), and a lot of fun! We welcome everyone that wants to have a good time – whether that is by riding or partying or doing both! There is no timing or award ceremony, however, other than the reward of riding the spectacular river valley roads of Nelson and Amherst Counties with old and new friends. Please take time to enjoy the scenery along the way!
Historic note: the original WTF did not have any road markings or even route maps for the participants. The emphasis continues to be on being prepared to take care of your issues and to buddy up with friends along the way. This is a social event. Help take care of your riding neighbors! And now you can even download the route below!
